Getting to Matka Canyon from Skopje
Matka Canyon is located 15 kilometers west of Skopje city center, approximately 20 minutes by car. With Millennium Express, we handle all the transport — you simply tell us your pickup location and we take care of the rest.

- 1. Vrelo Cave : The most famous landmark in Matka Canyon. Vrelo Cave is believed to be one of the deepest underwater caves in Europe — explorers have dived to over 200 meters without reaching the bottom. Inside, you'll find magnificent stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years, plus two stunning internal lakes. Access is by boat across the canyon lake.
- Matka Lake - The oldest artificial lake in North Macedonia, created by damming the Treska River in 1938. The lake's remarkably clear, turquoise-green waters reflect the surrounding canyon walls, creating stunning photographic opportunities. Boat rides across the lake are available directly at the canyon entrance.
